Our History

KT RiskGuard, LLC was founded in 2026 by Bob Kinney and Jeff Turner with a simple goal: helping organizations manage technology and cybersecurity risk through practical advice, honest communication, and real-world experience.

The story behind the company began in the late 1990s at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business IT Department. Drawn together by a shared interest in computers and technology, Bob and Jeff became friends while supporting the college's technology needs. Over the years, that friendship remained strong through career changes, family milestones, successes, and challenges.

As their careers took different paths, they stayed connected and often found themselves discussing technology, business challenges, and the practical realities organizations face every day. Whether approaching a problem from a technical, operational, or business perspective, they shared a common belief: people deserve honest advice, clear communication, and solutions that work in the real world.

Nearly three decades later, they combined their experience and shared values to form KT RiskGuard. While the company is new, the partnership behind it is built on years of friendship, trust, collaboration, and a commitment to helping people solve problems the right way.
